SKOPJE ( Macedonia ), April 10, Macedonia’s health minister Venko Filipce said that the number of coronavirus cases in the country has increased to 663, as the death toll reached 30.
The country expects the outbreak to peak at the end of April, when the number of coronavirus cases is expected to hit between 2,000 and 2,500, prime minister Oliver Spasovski said at the conference.
In mid-March, Macedonia’s president Stevo Pendarovski declared a 30-day nationwide state of emergency over the coronavirus outbreak.
As of Wednesday, curfew hours in the country will be from 4 pm to 5 am. In addition, people under the age of 18 will be allowed to move only between 1 pm and 3 pm, while those with over 67 of age can leave their homes only between 10 am and 12 pm. There will also be a 24-hour curfew on weekends for all citizens.
